3 boxes Linear Feet (This manuscript group is an assortment of small collections, which range in size from a single page to one or two volumes of documents. The Manuscript Miscellany papers are housed in three archival boxes. This collection is constantly expanding, and includes items such as letters written by Carl Sandburg (1878-1967), Upton Sinclair (1878-1968), and George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950); as well as a day book recorded by the J.W. & S.G. Kuntz Mill in Troutville, Pennsylvania from 1899-1925 and a War Ration Book from World War Two. Also, included is a collection of World War I handwritten letters from 1918-1919. These letters were written by William Phillips (U.S. Army 305th Sanitary Train), back home to his family in Indiana, Pennsylvania, which convey his experiences and activities during World War I.)
