1 box Linear Feet (Dr. Dwight Sollberger, a former Biology Professor at IUP, was a distant relative of Robert Wilson. Wilson was an early settler of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania who had emigrated from Ireland. Robert Wilson owned a large tract of land in Indiana Borough and White Township in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. Wilson's papers remained in the family for several generations before being donated to the IUP Special Collections and University Archives by Dwight Sollberger. These papers contain the personal correspondence of Robert Wilson and family, dating from 1816-1868, as well as other documents relating to his land holdings and the family allegiance to King George III who was King of Great Britain from 1760-1820.)
