1 folder Linear Feet (Marilyn Proffitt Whiteside (May 27, 1924-May 27, 2009) graduated from Indiana State Teachers College (ISTC, later IUP) with a degree in Music Education on May 27, 1946. After graduating from ISTC, she married Loyal E. Whiteside who served in the U. S. Army as a Sergeant during World War Two. Marilyn Proffitt Whiteside later taught music in Mars, Pennsylvania public schools and the Ridley Township school system in eastern Pennsylvania. She was a choir director at the Ridley Park Methodist Church and Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Wallingford, Pennsylvania. In 1983, the Whiteside family moved to Wildwood, Florida.
