Biographical / Historical
Dwight Donald (D. D.) Patterson (January 21, 1886-December 14, 1966) was the
Superintendent of Schools in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. D. D. Patterson was married
to Irene Gibson Patterson (July 24, 1884-January 31, 1975) who was the daughter of
Calvin S. Gibson and his wife Matilda Trimble Gibson. For 18 years, D. D. Patterson
was the principal of the Green Township High School at Commodore from 1918 to 1936.
In 1936, he was elected assistant superintendent of Indiana County schools. The
Patterson family were residents of Indiana, Pennsylvania.

It includes photographs, publications, school catalogs, reference manuals for teachers, and several diplomas of retired Indiana County school employees.
