10 boxes Linear Feet (Manuscript Miscellany is housed in ten archival boxes and selected documents are housed in a fireproof safe. Manuscript Miscellany contains various documents, correspondence, books and other small collections of items related to authors, politicians or other notable/local individuals or institutions. This manuscript group is an assortment of small collections which range in size from a single page to one or two volumes of documents. This collection is constantly expanding, and includes items such as letters written by Carl Sandburg, Upton Sinclair, and George Bernard Shaw, a day book recorded by the J.W. & S.G. Kuntz Mill in Troutville, PA from 1899-1925 and a War Ration Book from the Second World War. Other documents include patents signed by John Quincy Adams, and a royal commission signed by King George III in 1795. )
