3 boxes Linear Feet (Elayne Musial Busovicki, IUP Class of 1971 is married to George Busovicki, IUP Class of 1969 and both are graduates of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Her parents were Edward Musial (1922-2001) and Eleanor Zelaznowski Musial (1928-2009). Edward Musial was the son of Michael Musial and Katherine Gayeski Musial. Eleanor Zelaznowski Musial was the daughter of John (Jan) Zelaznowski (1891-1961) and Katherine (Katarzyna) Bednarczyk Zelaznowski (1903-1989) who were married on July 1, 1918 in Monessen, Pennsylvania, and they had five children. John (Jan) Zelaznowski was born in Izdebki, Poland, and he was one of nine children of Wojciech (Adalbert) Zelaznowski and Anna Baron Zelaznowski. Katherine (Katarzyna) Bednarczyk was born in Poraz, Poland, and she was one of five children of Francis (Frank) Bednarczyk and Mary Ogarek Bednarczyk. John Zelaznowski (1891-1961) worked at the Page Wire Mill in Monessen. He was also proud to be a volunteer fireman in Monessen. As a young man, he had his own band and played the trombone. His wife, Katherine Bednarczyk Zelaznowski (1903-1989), was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fire Association. The Elayne Musial Busovicki Collection contains photographs, memorabilia, and publications relating to the Polish heritage and occupations of this extended family in western Pennsylvania that lived in the Monessen (Mon) Valley in Allegheny County. This collection was donated by Elayne Musial Busovicki and her husband George Busovicki in 2014.)
