1 archival box. Linear Feet (Mrs. Martha Oatman McSparrin graduated from Indiana State Normal School in 1924, and she became a school teacher. Her husband, Mr. McSparrin, was instrumental in establishing vocational education in Western Pennsylvania. Martha's mother, Samantha Leasure Oatman, briefly attended the Indiana State Normal School in the late 1800s. The Martha Oatman McSparrin Collection dates from 1884 to 1924, and is housed in one archival box. The collection includes photographs, personal effects, certificates, and other miscellaneous papers. This collection contains a few personal effects of these three individuals, including several photographs, Martha's graduation and teaching certificates, and an autograph book that belong to her mother Samantha.)
