32 boxes Linear Feet (The Papers of District 4 of the United Mine Workers of America contain a wide variety of material ranging from presidential correspondence to black lung documents. Although there is some material dealing with the earlier years of District 4, most of the collection consists of documents from the 1960s to the 1990s. All of the items in this collection were previously held at the District 4 headquarters in Masontown, Pennsylvania, before being donated to the Special Collections and University Archives at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The collection is divided into seven series and is contained in thirty archival boxes.
