1 box Linear Feet (Kappa Delta Pi was established as a national Honorary Educational Fraternity in 1911. The Purpose of Kappa Delta Pi was to encourage high intellectual and scholastic standards and to recognize outstanding contributions to education. The Beta Gamma Chapter was organized at Indiana State Teachers College (IUP) on May 14, 1928, and it was the first chapter in the state of Pennsylvania. The collection includes miscellaneous organizational papers such as minutes, membership rosters, newsletters and a brief history of the organization.
