At the age of 75, Jesse Pritchard retired in 1957 after having worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad Company for 54 years from 1903-1957. Both he and his wife are interred at the Hampton Cemetery in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The collection contains two scrapbooks donated by Jesse Wiggins Pritchard. The smaller scrapbook (1889-1891) documents businesses and the railroad industry in and around Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The larger scrapbook was compiled in 1936 by Mr. Pritchard, and it documents the railroad industry as well as the 1936 Flood in Pittsburgh.)
