2 boxes Linear Feet (This collection contains the student literary magazine New Growth Arts Revue, which was later called the New Growth Arts Review (NGAR). The magazine is published by the students of Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and editors were often faculty members from the English Department including Rosaly DeMaios Roffman (Manuscript Group 113). Originally published biannually, the NGAR is now published once a year, and the magazine includes poetry, short stories, creative nonfiction, photography, artwork, and interviews. One such interview was conducted by NGAR editors with Edward Abbey. The literary magazine was initially called the New Growth Arts Revue when it was first published in 1976, and it was first called the New Growth Arts Review in 1983, but reverted back to the New Growth Arts Revue until the name was changed permanently to New Growth Arts Review in 1993.
