1 box Linear Feet (The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE), also known as the State System of Higher Education (SSHE) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is governed by a 20-member Board of Governors. Founded in 1983, PASSHE governs all of the state universities in Pennsylvania: Bloomsburg, California, Cheney, Clarion, East Stroudsburg, Edinboro, Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Kutztown, Lock Haven, Mansfield, Millersville, Shippensburg, Slippery Rock, and West Chester University. More information about Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education is available on their website, http://www.passhe.edu/Pages/default.aspx The collection dates from the formation of PASSHE in 1983 to the present, and the collection is divided into two series: paper records and electronic records. The paper collection is housed in one archival box, and it contains copies of the meeting minutes and policies from the Board of Governors of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) from 1983-1996. The collection includes papers on the Governor’s policies, allocation policies, and the board’s meeting minutes. The collection contains two series: (I) paper documents and (II) electronic records. Electronic records include copies of the Board of Governors of PASSHE minutes and policies. Richards, in 2017.)
