Congressman John “Jack” Patrick Murtha, Jr. (June 17, 1932 – February 8, 2010), who served Pennsylvania’s 12th congressional district in the U. S. House of Representatives from 1974 until his death in 2010. The John P. Murtha Institute for Homeland Security Collection contains office files, correspondence, strategic planning documents, presentations, video recordings, and bylaws, policies and procedures, meeting minutes, newsletters, and event programs. The collection dates from 2003 to 2011. )
