Dr. Carolyn Princes became director of the BCC in 1990. The center became known as the African American Cultural Center (AACC) in July 1995. The purpose of the AACC is to enhance multicultural awareness and racial sensitivity. The AACC became part of the IUP Center for Multicultural Affairs and Student Success.
